NeverOut — smart pantry, peace of mind

Privacy Policy

Last updated August 2026

NeverOut is in closed beta. This document describes the product as it works today and will be updated as it changes.

NeverOut helps your household avoid running out of everyday essentials. To do that it needs to know what you track and when you restock it. This page explains what that means in practice.

What NeverOut stores

Your account. Your email address, your name if you give one, and when you signed up. Your password is handled by Supabase, our authentication provider, and NeverOut never sees it.

Your household. The name you give it, whether it is a flat or a house, how many adults and children live there, your time zone and your region. NeverOut uses the number of people to make its first estimates sensible before it has learned anything about you.

What you track. The items you add, the category and unit you choose, how often you expect to restock them, and any private note you attach.

What you tell NeverOut about those items. Every time you mark something Restocked, Running Low, Still Have Some or Finished, that is recorded with the time it happened. This is the information NeverOut learns from. Without it there is nothing to predict from.

Reminders. If you turn on reminders, your browser gives NeverOut an anonymous address for your device so notifications can be sent to it. We record which reminders were sent, which you opened and what you did about them.

What you tell us you want. If you tap a button marked “coming later” on a feature that does not exist yet, we record that you were interested, so we build the things people actually want.

What NeverOut does with it

NeverOut does not sell anything, does not deliver anything, and does not take payments.

Who can see it

You and anyone you add to your household. Your data is separated at the database level, not merely hidden in the app — one household’s information cannot be read by another.

NeverOut staff, when supporting you. If you report a problem, staff can see what you track, your restock history and what the prediction engine learned, because that is what makes “it keeps reminding me too early” answerable.

Staff cannot see the private notes you attach to an item. Those are excluded from every staff view, and we test that they stay excluded.

Staff actions that affect an account — suspending it, for example — are recorded with who did it, when, and why.

Who else is involved

NeverOut runs on services provided by others:

We do not sell your information, and we do not build profiles of you for advertisers.

How it is protected

No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. NeverOut is in beta and you should treat it accordingly.

Your account

You can edit or delete any item at any time. If you want your account and its data removed, contact us and we will do it.

An account can be suspended if it is used abusively. A suspended account cannot sign in, and its data is kept rather than deleted, so it can be restored.

Changes

NeverOut is being actively built, and this policy will change with it. Meaningful changes will be communicated to beta participants directly.

Contact

Contact details are not final. During the closed beta, reach us through whoever invited you to test NeverOut. A permanent contact address will be published here before NeverOut opens more widely.
