Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of NeverOut during its closed beta. Using NeverOut means you accept them.

What NeverOut is

NeverOut keeps track of the everyday things your household runs out of, learns roughly how long they last, and reminds you before you run out.

It does not sell groceries, deliver anything, or take payments.

What NeverOut does not know

NeverOut estimates. It does not measure.

It works out how long things usually last from how often you tell it you restocked them. It has no way of knowing what is physically in your kitchen right now. If you have guests for a week, or buy a larger pack, or someone else does the shopping without recording it, its estimate will be wrong.

Checking what you actually have is still your job. Treat NeverOut as a helpful nudge, not an inventory count — and never rely on it for anything where running out would be more than an inconvenience.

Your account

• Keep your password to yourself
• Give accurate information when you sign up
• Anything done through your account is your responsibility
• You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live

Using it properly

Please do not:

• Try to reach another household’s information
• Probe, attack or disrupt the service
• Use automated tools to hammer it with requests
• Use NeverOut to store anything illegal or abusive
• Attempt to get at accounts or data that are not yours

If you find a security problem, please tell us rather than exploit it. We will take it seriously and we will not be difficult about it.

This is a beta

NeverOut is unfinished and under active development. That means:

• It may be unavailable at times, sometimes without warning
• Features may change or be removed
• Reminders may occasionally not arrive, or arrive at the wrong time
• Bugs are expected — telling us about them is the point of the beta

We will not deliberately delete your data, and we take reasonable care to protect it. We cannot promise a beta service will never lose anything.

Suspension

An account can be suspended if it is used abusively or in breach of these terms. A suspended account cannot sign in. Its data is kept rather than deleted, so it can be restored if the suspension was wrong or the matter is resolved.

We record who suspended an account and why. If yours is suspended and you believe that was a mistake, contact us.

What we are responsible for

NeverOut is provided as it is, free of charge, during the beta. We are responsible for running it with reasonable care and for handling your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

We are not responsible for what happens because a prediction was wrong or a reminder did not arrive. NeverOut is a convenience, not a guarantee, and running out of washing powder remains a normal part of life.

Changes

These terms will change as NeverOut does. Meaningful changes will be communicated to beta participants directly rather than quietly edited into this page.

Contact details are not final. During the closed beta, reach us through whoever invited you to test NeverOut. A permanent contact address will be published here before NeverOut opens more widely.
